Timaru District Holdings Limited (TDHL) is pleased to announce the appointment of Kate Faulks as a Director of PrimePort Timaru Limited, effective 1 November 2026.
Kate is a North Otago farmer, engineer and director with governance and operational experience spanning agribusiness, infrastructure and energy. She is a Director of Ravensdown and has previously served as an Intern Director of Port Otago and its property subsidiary, Chalmers Properties. Earlier in her career, Kate held engineering, terminal management and operational roles with ExxonMobil. She holds a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours in Chemical and Process Engineering and a first-class MBA.
Kate replaces Amanda Johnston, who is stepping down following her relocation out of the district. TDHL thanks Amanda for her valued contribution and commitments to PrimePort during her tenure.
TDHL General Manager Frazer Munro says Kate’s skills and experience will complement the existing PrimePort Board.
“Kate brings a strong combination of port, infrastructure and operational experience, together with a practical agribusiness background and central South Island perspective. Her understanding of asset-intensive and safety-critical operations, supply chains and the primary sector will be valuable as PrimePort continues to support the region’s importers and exporters,” Munro says.
